In order to effectively meet the UK’s net zero challenge, communities, councils, and local partners need to collaborate to find localised, on-site solutions that meet their communities’ energy needs.

One significant fund driver is to reduce fuel poverty
The Rural Community Energy Fund (RCEF) is designed to allow communities to take their solutions forward.
Using consultancy for feasibility work and technical support, the aim is to understand existing built environment constraints and build a business case, prior to moving through to stage 2 to address planning requirements.
A key factor within community projects is looking to improve the quality of life within the community.
The North West Energy Hub Project aims to create local energy related assets that provide a service to the communities around them.
One significant fund driver is to reduce fuel poverty, with its effects increasing sharply in line with current energy price increases.
Energy prices are set to rise again in October, solidifying the need to look at long term low carbon alternative heat solutions insulated from fossil fuel pricing volatility.
Together with our collaboration partners, Prospus Group Ltd, and using our experienced Team, Pure energy has been directly involved in the Low Carbon Energy Funded project in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.
We have recently completed Energy Surveys on selected West Lancashire owned properties, with the objective to identify and confirm efficient low carbon heat network design options for the local community.
Results of the on-site investigation will be presented to the North West Energy Hub in the form of a Feasibility Report.
As a business, we are committed to exploring low carbon energy sources in order to provide low-cost sustainable energy supply for our local communities.
